DELIHAYDAR
HAYDAROS COLLECTION
Handcrafted Staff
117 cm / 46 in
“DeliHaydar is the keeper of pure madness. The sacred staff of the castaways. ”
Created in 2022, DeliHaydar is casted from a branch, which was gathered from a hidden corner of the island of Gökçeada. This staff is not just painted, but its carved as well. Faces emerge along the wood, each with its own expression, like a good old ancient totem. I painted them with acrylics, however also left some parts of the wood bare, to keep the feeling of staying in touch with the forest.
DeliHaydar is one of the first staffs that has been added to the HAYDAROS Collection.

The One & Only
Unlike the young SulHaydar, DeliHaydar has had time to grow old with me. Its wood has darkened, its colours have worn in places and I like it this way. Old and wise.
To this day, it is still my favourite staff. The one I reach for most when I go out for a walk. After all, a little madness makes good company.
